Race and ethnicity

Research investigating the impact race and ethnicity have on different aspects of society is incredibly important, from the disproportionate effect the COVID-19 pandemic had, to the divides in education systems around the world.

Understanding the impact, and the causes of these inequalities, is vital to moving forward and creating an equal society. We are proud to publish this essential research which is being undertaken across the full scope of the social sciences.

Tackling institutional racism

Anti-racist policies and social work education and training

This challenging book analyses the development of anti-racist social work education and training. It critically assesses the concept of 'race', offers an historical exploration of the role of social work and provides an assessment of the backlash against the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work's anti-racist developments.
